GW 173
GW-173 is suitable for late-sown conditions under irrigation in the North Western Plains Zone. It has a yield capacity of 1760–1800 kg per acre and matures in 119–124 days. The plants grow to about 90 cm in height (87–92 cm) and produce amber-coloured, oblong grains with a hard texture, making them ideal for chapati making. This variety is tolerant to terminal heat and resistant to yellow and brown rust.
